DESCRIPTION:    CoCoA (Computations in Commutative Algebra) is a computer
                algebra system to compute with numbers and polynomials. It is 
                able to perform simple and sophisticated operations on 
                multivariate polynomials and on various data related to them 
                (ideals, modules, matrices, rational functions). It can readily
                compute Gröbner basis, syzygies and minimal free resolution, 
                intersection, division, the radical of an ideal, the ideal of 
                zero-dimensional schemes, Poincare’ series and Hilbert 
                functions, factorization of polynomials, toric ideals

MISCELLANEOUS:

At launch, the 32 bit version displays an error message about 'Cannot export 
the name "HomogElimMat"'. It's not known if this will affect normal operation 
of the application.

There is an emacs mode that can be configured by running script:

/mit/cocoa_v5.1.5/arch/amd64_ubuntu1404/bin/emacs/ConfigEmacs.sh 

once. This will add appropriate lines to your ~/.emacs file (or create it if 
it does not exist already).

To activate it in emacs edit a file with a .cocoa5 extension containing CoCoA
commands.
