Getting started with COEUS®

When you open COEUS®, the COEUS splash screen opens, then the Logon window appears.

Enter your COEUS® userid and password and select OK. The COEUS message window appears. When you select OK, the main COEUS® toolbar appears.

The quickest way to log off is to use the Exit (door) button on the second row of the COEUS toolbar.

Restore COEUS®

If you have minimized the COEUS® application window, restore it by right clicking on the COEUS® icon in the Task Bar and selecting Restore.

If you want to receive e-mail notification about any proposal-related messages that are sent to you, select File>>Preferences. The COEUS® User Preferences window appears. In the Email Notification drop-down field, select Yes, then OK.

Search for awards

COEUS® contains two separate windows:

• Award Search window -- enter search criteria
• Award List window -- view awards retrieved by your selection

The advantage of two separate windows is that your list of selected awards remains available so that you can view multiple awards, as described later on this page.

Access award selection by choosing Awards... on the Maintain pulldown menu.

On the COEUS® Award Search window, enter your selection criteria and select Find.

The Award List window shows the awards that meet your selection.

Select the award to view by double clicking on the award line. The window Display Award appears.

View multiple awards

COEUS® allows you to view several awards at once.

1. After you have opened the first Display Award window as described above, select Award List on the Window pulldown menu. The Award List window reappears.
2. On the Award List window, select the next award to view by double clicking on that line. The Display Award window shows the second award. Each open award is listed by number in the Window pulldown menu.
3. Repeat the above steps for each additional award you want to view.
4. Switch between awards using the Window menu.

Windows NT/95 users: If you arrange the open windows in a cascade, all the open windows will be visible, and you can click to activate any one of them. Set up the Cascade window arrangement using the Window pulldown menu at the top, or use the Cascade toolbar button.
