Dear faculty colleagues:

Thank you for visiting Commencement 2013. We continue to have good support from our faculty at this exciting time of year, and it means a lot to our students, who really appreciate your being there to congratulate them. Many new alumni often remark on how special it was to them to see Professor xxx there as they walked up and over to receive a diploma.

Online registration to march and ordering of regalia is closed. If you would like to march at Hooding and/or Commencement, please email Kimberly Nelson to see whether arrangements may be made. If you own all pieces of regalia and need simply to advise us of your plans to participate, please include that information in your message. For further information, I refer you to the frequently asked questions within this website. If you have questions or suggestions, please send them to commencement@mit.edu.

A final note: these two events are very special opportunities to honor our Institute students who have worked so hard to earn their MIT degrees. Please place these important 2013 dates and times of Thursday, June 6 from 10:55 am to 1:30 pm, and Friday, June 7 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm for Commencement on your calendar now, and give serious thought to giving a small amount of time to being there and saying "great job" to our students. I look forward to working with you to make that happen.
