Hooding Ceremony

At MIT, advanced degree candidates receive their Doctoral hoods in a separate ceremony held the day before Commencement. Family, friends, and mentors of PhD and ScD candidates are well aware of the long journey to earning a Doctoral degree, and the Investiture of  Doctoral Hoods is a very happy occasion for all. The 2013 ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 6.
