This section is for Senior Lecturers. Information and registration for (all levels of appointment of) Professors, Adjunct Professors, and Professors of the Practice may be found here.
Dear Senior Lecturer Colleagues:
It is with great pleasure that we invite Senior Lecturers to participate in the Commencement Exercises of the Institute on Friday, June 6, 2014. Participation of those who play a primary teaching role is essential to the success of this event, which truly celebrates the significant accomplishments of our students.
Online registration to march at Commencement and to order regalia is now open. If you are ordering regalia, kindly process your form by 9 am on Friday, May 9.
Details about the upcoming Commencement season will continue to populate these pages. As you know, many arrangements, including those for security, are not finalized until shortly before Commencement Day, so I ask that you continue to refer to this site for the most recent information. In the meantime, there is a frequently asked questions page within this website, and if you have further questions or suggestions, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A final note: Commencement is a very special opportunity to honor our Institute students who have worked so hard to earn their MIT degrees. Please place Friday, June 6 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm on your calendar now, and give serious thought to giving a small amount of time to being there and saying "great job" to our students. I look forward to working with you to make that happen.
