Research at Collaborating Institution

If a researcher conducts human subjects research in collaboration with another institution, then COUHES will approve the research with the stipulation that the research cannot commence until COUHES receives written notification of approval from the collaborating institution's IRB. There may however, be circumstances that warrant aspects of the research commencing before a collaborating institution has formally approved the study and COUHES will consider these on a case by case basis.
