Community Giving at MIT is guided by a presidential appointed steering committee composed of faculty and staff across campus and Lincoln Laboratory. The committee provides vision and guidance to the Community Services Office to engage members of the MIT community in campaign activities; actively pursue feedback on the campaign processes and strategies; seek out new opportunities to achieve increased donor participation; and to raise awareness about Community Giving at MIT and the many charitable giving opportunities available to MIT faculty and staff.

CSF grant recipient the Cambridge Science Expo is an opportunity
for 8th grade students from the Cambridge Public School District to meet, talk to, and have fun with MIT student volunteers.
Each year, 300 Cambridge middle school students visit the campus to showcase their science projects.
