Effective web surveys

This audio/web seminar was sponsored by Academic Impressions and covered the fundamentals behind effective online surveys from both a technological and methodological perspective. It addressed best practices for survey design and distribution, as well as offered tips about response management and tracking.

Major topics included: how theories of survey response can inform design; structure and content of email contacts; dealing with spam filters; advantages of a mixed-mode contact approach; security and anonymity of responses; sample-size issues; response incentives; overall appearance; question response categories; and length and progress indicators.
