Academic Media Production Services is the main educational technology
production and service department supporting MIT's academic initiatives.
AMPS services include: design (graphic, instructional, and classroom
facilities); production (videography, website construction, media
coordination, file compression, teleconferencing and videoconferencing,
video editing, audio processing, webcasting, CD-ROM and DVD authoring
and duplication); testing (quality assurance, usability, accessibility);
support planning; and deployment.

MIT Video Productions is the on-campus resource for the production
of educational, promotional, and research video programs. Services
also include distance education delivery, video conferencing, multi-media
production including CD/DVD authoring, and media link connectivity
- electronically linking MIT experts to journalists throughout the
world.

The Conference Services Office offers professional conference planning
assistance, from budget development to selection and coordination
of facilities, menus, and related support services. Trained coordinators
work with all on-campus auxiliary services and outside vendors to
support on-campus events. Professional registration staff is also
available to set up mail-in or web-based registration, process payments,
provide customized weekly reporting, and staff on-site check-in
and information booths. A management fee is assessed based on the
anticipated size and extent of the services provided.

representative from the ATIC Lab is available to conduct accessibility

This service of Departmental Consulting and Application Development (DCAD) provides strategic consulting and business needs analysis to enhance MIT web initiatives.

MIT Editors' Club is a group of over 100 people from around the Institute
who are involved or interested in MIT communications. The group meets
once a month in the News Office from 12-1 p.m. The group also corresponds
via an internal MIT electronic mail list that allows members to help

The School of Engineering Communicators is a group of approximately
80 people who handle a variety of aspects of communications as part
of their jobs. The range includes newsletters, web sites, graduate
materials, events, media outreach, video, and public relations.
The group aims to build community within the School and share resources
to support everyone's efforts, meeting aproximately once a month
on topics of practical application. Members also communicate through
an email listserv. Administratively, most are within the School
of Engineering, but the group also includes members who work closely
with Engineering faculty and/or students.
