The Division provides the first year of support for postdoctoral fellows; an NIH training grant provides support for the ensuing three years. Trainees are provided a stipend in accordance with the NIH stipend schedule, which is based on years of applicable experience. Medical insurance is provided at no cost or minimal cost to the trainee. Travel funds are available to attend scientific meetings when warranted. The cost of tuition for individual courses is covered; tuition costs for degree seeking candidates must be obtained from other sources. The current NIH stipend schedule is as follows:
