Subject: Eisenhower Fellowships and Grants for Research Fellowships
In today's mail, after many phone calls, I received one copy each of the
1995 Eisenhower Graduate Fellowships Announcement and the 1995
Eisenhower Grants for Research Fellowships. Within each of these
Announcements are the application forms. These Fellowships come under
the domain of the U.S. Department of Transportation and are sponsored by
the Federal Highway Administration. The objectives of the overall
Program are to attract the Nation's brightest minds to the field of
transportation. The Program is intended to help upgrade the total
transportation community in the Nation and encompasses all areas of
transportation.
When I read the deadline of 4pm, Feb 17, I phoned the Federal Highway
Administration. It was a good thing I did as they extended the deadline
until 4 pm on Fri, Feb 24. As Xeroxes are acceptable, I am going to
make copies today.
I know this notice doesn't apply to every administrator, but this was
the easiest way of communicating the information quickly. Many students
have been asking me for applications.
