Unique Problem(s):

Wasmannia auropunctata (Red Fire Ant) was introduced to Marchena about 15 years ago and had spread over 22 hectares. The ants have been contained to a 65m2 area. The ants have caused the deaths of many native birds. The ants will be eradicated in possibly two years.
