Deutschland?

Deutschland!

Germany often evokes and sometimes provokes a broad range of associations, emotions, reactions, and thoughts. Personal experiences, stories told by others, movies, literature, the news, they all shape our image and understanding of Germany as a country and its people. For this year's Lufthansa Award express your perceptions, images, illusions, speculations, observations, and experiences that relate to the topic Deutschland? Deutschland!

Any form of presentation is welcome: essay, short story, video, collage, multi-media, Web project, installation, etc. Entries in German are welcome but not required. Eligible are students enrolled in MIT-German courses during the academic year 2000/2001, including IAP workshop and courses.

Deadline: April 23, 2001

1st Prize: Round-trip to Germany with Lufthansa and participation in a visitor program

All entries will be judged by an independent jury. Level of German will be taken into account. We are planning to publish the most interesting entries on our Web site.
