Deutschland
2000

As the new century approaches, Germany and the Germans are faced with fundamental social, political and cultural changes: Old identities are being replaced by new ones, new values are emerging in a European context, a new political landscape is beginning to take shape in a multicultural society. How will Germany look a few years from now? What role will Germany play in the concert of nations? Will Germans be good Europeans?

Express your perceptions, experiences, fantasies, hopes, and speculations that relate to the topic Deutschland 2000.

Any form of presentation is welcome: essay, short story, video, collage, multi-media, Web project, installation, etc. Entries in German are welcome but not required. Eligible are students enrolled in MIT-German courses during the academic year 1998/1999.
