I just heard from a friend all the way down in South Africa that Phillipe
Sawadogo isn't Secretary General of FESPACO anymore that he
has become an Ambassador to France.

Is this true?
Anyone have any official information? if so, Who has taken his place?

Yes, this is true. Mr Baba Hama has taken over the Secretary General
position.
