Haile Gerime describes his early experiences on cinema in the article
"Where are the African Women Film-Makers" published in the book Africa =
    at
the Pictures, Ed. Keith Shiri, NFT, British Film Institute, 1993. If =
    you
read French, you can read Cin=E9mAction No 26 with the theme Cin=E9mas =
    noirs
d'Afrique. There is an article of Pierre Haffner "Vous avez dit: =
    publics
ali=E9n=E9s?". If I remember right Haffner writes about cin=E9-clubs =
    or mobile
cinema vans also in his book Essai sur les fondements du cin=E9ma =
    africain
(Abidjan: Les Nouvelles Editions Africaines, 1978).
