After a picture that I took of Aimee Smith and her husband Anton Van Der Ven at a pro-Palestinian rally appeared in the Tech, copies of an letter were posted on the bulletin boards near Aimee's office. On the bottom, right-hand corner of the letter, the anonymous author had reproduced my photograph.

"As much as I appreciate your need to fight for all right causes and your will to change the world," it said, "I think it's about time you'll hear what some people think of your protests. Have you ever lived in a place where going downtown for shopping was dangerous? Have you ever comforted a woman who lost her children when they were having lunch at a restaurant? Have you ever even been to the middle-east?"
