* TRANSCRIPTS BEGINS *

[DZC] Here we go again.
[TECH] System's ready, sir.
[LAZ] Run the diagnostics.
[TECH] All systems okay.
[DZC] Do it, but this time, be sure you increase the ________.

[TECH] Attention Operatives. I will read to you your instructions as
specified in in Procedural Document 23D-ARD: ARD Location Protocol
       Draft.

You will now attempt to make contact with an individual chosen at
random from the population, and take a part of their mind into yours.
You will remain in contact with that target for as long as you able,
without allowing your identity to be damaged. You will operate
according to the ARD procedural documents.

[LAZ] Activating ARD in three. In two. In one.

[OP2] Tick, counting, time left, winding down, counting out, time left.
       Less by the second.
[OP1] "Detecting a failure of the heart." Doctors still lie to family at
my side, think I can't hear. Hate to end it this way, not enough
to do, should end it with them in my arms. Should end it at home,
outdoors. Put me in the sun --

[DZC] Subject seems to be hospitalized for medical treatment.
[LAZ] Agreed.

[OP2] Remember when my mother died. Last request: Put me in, the sun.
Hospital bed wouldn't move far enough. Died that way, inches from the
sunlight down by her side, staring wrinkled into the light, heat
       trickling across the blanket.
[OP1] Speak! Don't be feeble. Please, not yet. Still have to. Say goodbye.
Put me in the sun. Gather to me now, sit by me children, strong
limbs by mine. Hold me as I would long to hold you. Please.

[LAZ] I need to go. I can't listen to this anymore.
[DZC] Lazlo --
[KAZ] I can't listen to him. He talks like my father.

[OP2] Sitting up is holding, embracing, waving, touching, sharing, finally.
No more greed; oneness. Not too atrophied, God! Not too cold-blooded!
Even speech, acknowledgment. Too restrained. "I love you." Say it.
Not too late. God! I mean it. Bryan. Richard. I love you, sons.
Lucy. Love you too. I mean it now. I'd do any --
[O1] No more time. "Nothing we can do in order to," that's a truth, and
no more life for me. Nothing left. I understand now: put me in the
sun. Know why; seems real, true. Caresses. Put me in the sun.
[OP2] Descending radial beams touching, almost, nearly. Blocked. Gowns,
potted plants. Bedclothes, no feeling here, nothing left. So another
day, try. Tomorrow. In the sun. Put me there to shine.
[OP1] For time not now to be here and eavesdrop on it until.

[DZC] Okay, shutdown. Good job, guys.
[TECH] Anybody see where Dr. Antona went.
