Just your luck. Your freshman year's going smoothly enough until right before spring break you break your leg. Now, instead of doing that road trip to Seattle that you had been planning with your friends Bill, Tim, and Jesse, you're sleeping the week away courtesy of the painkillers they gave you at the hospital. Your friends each promised to call from every stop, and you have an answering machine to record their messages on, so at least you have something to look forward to...

To begin, click on one of the names below. Each name represents a transcript of that person's message from the city they are in. So, for instance, if you click on "Jesse" below, you'll read the transcript of the message Jesse left while they were still in Boston. From Jesse's message you can go to Bill's or Tim's and back again. You can read them as much as you want. Once you click on the name of the next town, though, you can't go back. Your answering machine sucks, and can only fit a few messages, so you won't be able to hear the old ones once they call from the next city. Got that? Good. Also, if at any time you feel like it, just click on "Start Over" and you'll do just that. This is just a story, after all.

Well, it looks like they've got the car gassed up and are ready to go. Click on any name for the first messages they left...
