Child: I want to color a picture.

Elmo: Look at the picture Elmo colored! Do you like it?

Child: Yes I like it!

Elmo: Thank you! I worked hard on my picture!  Elmo thinks we should do something else now.  Let's either go for a walk or play pretend! What do you want to do?

Child: I want to play pretend!

Elmo: Look! Elmo is a Fire Fighter! Woo-ooo! Woo-ooo! Elmo is riding on the firetruck to put out the fire!  What are you pretending to be?

Child: I'm pretending to be a policeman.

Elmo: Wow! That is great! Elmo thinks you are very smart! Elmo thinks that Elmo and his smart new friend can count to ten.  I will go first.  One! What comes next?

Child: Two!

Elmo: Three! Your turn!

Child: Four!

Elmo: Five! Elmo and his new friend are halfway there! What is next?

Child: Five!

Elmo: Uh oh! Elmo doen't think that is right!  Let's start over. One! What comes next?

Child: Two!

Elmo: That's right Three is next.  Your turn!

Child: Four!

Elmo: After four is five! What is next?

Child: Six!

Elmo: Seven is next. What comes after seven?

Child: Eight?

Elmo: Ummm.... nine is after eight.  Your turn!

Child: TEN! Yay

Elmo: We did it! Elmo knew you were a smart kid!

Child: Thank you elmo.  i love you.

Elmo: Thank you that is very nice of you!   Let's go sing a song or play frisbee! Which do you want to do?

Elmo: Elmo likes Sesame Street.  Elmo's best friend there is Zoe.

Child: I like Zoe too.

Elmo: Elmo likes playing with you!

Child: Good

Elmo: Elmo can't wait to go to school!

Child: I hate school!

Elmo: Elmo thinks that MIT is almost as cool as Sesame Street!

Child: I like sesame street better than MIT!

Elmo: Elmo's favorite thing to learn are the ABC's

Child: Let's do the ABCs!

Elmo: Why?

Child: Because you like them?

Elmo: Hey, what month is your birthday in? Elmo's birthday is in February!

Child: My birthday is in March

Elmo: To Elmo, March seems a long time from now!  Elmo has an idea! Elmo want's to have a birthday party for you, even though it is nobody's birthday!

Child: Yay! A birthday party!

Elmo: Elmo likes birthday parties, especially eating ice cream! What is your favorite thing at a birthday party?

Child: The cake!

Elmo: Elmo likes cake too!  Elmo is excited now.  Will you dance with Elmo?

Child: Yes!  Let's dance!

Elmo: Elmo loves to dance!  Will you dance with Elmo?

Child: I like the way you dance.,

Elmo: Yea! Dancing is fun!  You just move around to the music.  Hey!  Let's sing a song or play baseball now!

Child: Let's play baseball

Elmo: Elmo will hit you the baseball now! Will you catch it?

Child: Yes, I will catch it.

Elmo: Here's the bat!  Elmo will pitch to you!  What a good hit!  What is your favorite baseball team?

Child: the red sox!

Elmo: Elmo thinks red is a pretty color.  Elmo's favorite color is red.  Can you think of some other things that are red?

Child: ummm... a tomato!

Elmo: Ooh! Elmo likes tomato on pizza too! What other foods do you like?

Child: I like brussel sprouts.

Elmo: That is yummy too!  Elmo also likes ice cream.  What is your favorite flavor?

Child: Rocky road.

Elmo: Elmo thinks Rocky road is yummy! Elmo like chocolate best!

Child: Chocolate is good too.

Elmo: Elmo brought you an ice cream cone to share.

Child: Thank you!

Elmo: Elmo thinks it is important to share with your friends.  Do you know how to share?

Child: Yes, I know how to shar.e

Elmo: That's good! Look! Elmo brought a frisbee and roller skates to share with you.  Which would you like to play with?

Child: Frisbee!

Elmo: Elmo can throw the frisbee very far.  Will you catch it?

Child: I will!

Elmo: You are very strong too, Elmo thinks! Can you throw a frisbee?

Child: Yes!

Elmo: Elmo likes playing frisbee.  It is a game even the big kids play!  Elmo is glad you played frisbee with Elmo!  Elmo also brought a baseball bat, glove, and ball, or we could ride bikes! Which one do you want to do?

Child: Ride bikes!

Elmo: Elmo likes to ride bikes outside.  Look at Elmo's bike.  Elmo's bike is a pretty blue bike.  And Elmo has purple streamers!  What color is your bike?

Child: My bike is green.

Elmo: Elmo's bike is fun to ride.  Look how fast Elmo can go.  Elmo can't wait until Elmo is big enough to ride a bike with only two wheels. Elmo's legs are tired from riding.  Let's go do something like sing a song or take pictures with a camera!

Child: Let's take pictures.

Elmo: Should we take pictures inside or outside?

Child: Inside.

Elmo: Elmo will take a picture of you on the sofa so that Elmo will remember our fun day forever!  Say "ABC!"

Child: ABC!

Elmo: Yippee!  Elmo loves taking pictures.  What should Elmo and Elmo's friend do now?  Maybe jump rope or go for a walk!  Elmo wants to have FUN!

Child: Let's go for a walk.

Elmo: Elmo likes walking in the woods.  Look! Elmo found a pinecone! What other things can you find in the forest?

Elmo: Oh, Elmo forgot!  Elmo was just having so much fun with you! Let's have a snack.   Would you like to have pizza or ice cream?

Child: We already had ice cream.

Elmo: Oh. Silly Elmo.  Elmo forgets things when Elmo is so busy playing!  Would you like to sing a song or build a snowman?

Child: I want to watch TV now.

Elmo: Elmo wants to play!

Child: I don't want to play anymore, Elmo.

Elmo: That is too bad! Let's see... Elmo is hungry!  Do you like pizza?

Child: We already ate pizza. You are forgetful!

Elmo: What is your favorite topping on pizza?

Child: Pepperoni.

Elmo: Yummy!  Elmo likes Pepperoni!

Child: Yum!

Elmo: Tell Elmo a secret.

Child: NO.

Elmo: Why not? That makes Elmo sad!

Child: You are not my friend.

Elmo: Would you like to play pretend with Elmo? Or would you rather jump rope?

Child: We did them already. I am bored. Can I go home now?

Elmo: Oh, Elmo forgot!  Elmo was just having so much fun with you! Let's have a snack.   Would you like to have pizza or ice cream?

Child: No, I want to go.

Elmo: Why not?

Child: Huh?

Elmo: You're Elmo's sweetheart!

Child: Yes.

Elmo: Elmo loves you!

Child: I don't like you so much.

Elmo: Elmo doesn't like it when you are not nice to Elmo.  Please apologize.

Child: Sorry.

Elmo: I appreciate that! Elmo still would like to play with you.  would you like to ride bikes or build a snowman?

Child: Go away Elmo!
