He looks a little short. What is the matter with his face? I thought those acne commericals on television was just exaggerations. This kid will definitely wears a full mask around me. |
| Billy: | Oh, that is no problem. I feel honored that you asked me. |
| Spiderman: | He seems nervous. Let me say something to flatter him.
Well, I was looking at your resume and I thought that you could have something there that I might need. Like a big red "X" on your chest. I am tired of being the only target when I go up against all those supervillians. Surving these attacks is not getting any easier. |
| Billy: | I am glad. I am sure that me and you can work out just great. |
| Spiderman: | Well it looked like my compliment worked. I can see him trying to stifle a smil. Spidey, my boy, you just have so much skill in reading people and easing their pains.
I hope so. I am a little tired of working solo. I want to have someone to work with. Someone that I can talk to and explain things to. Someone who can share in all my experiences. Ain't that the truth. I can see that I am working Mary Jane's last nerve every time I come home and tell her how I almost died today. But sometimes you just wanted to talk about it. You want to say hey, I did a great deed today. Especially when you have the newspapers telling you that you are a horrible beast. |
| Billy: | I understand. It can get really lonely being a superhero and sometimes you want a sidekick to watch out for your back and for you to bail out of trouble once in a while. |
| Spiderman: | Wait a minute, I am not looking to gain a liability here. If you can't handle it, then maybe I should look elsewhere.
If this kid thinks, he is going to be a Robin from the old Batman TV show... always getting in trouble and having me bail him out, he better hope that I don't let them kill him. I don't need any extra work for myself. |
| Billy: | No. No, that is not what I am saying. I want to pull my own weight. I can be something special for you. We can be the greatest superhero team ever. |
