"Well are we staying or going?" asked Reg.
"We can hardly go home." said Sarah, "I take it you've gathered
what's going on in this house?"
"What" asked Reg confused.
"Where have you been for the last hour," said Sarah. "Norman had planned
to take Annie away to a hotel this weekend."
"She was the one he was taking to East Grinstead?" asked Reg, who then
smiled and gave a cry of delight, totally surprising Sarah.
"Frankly Reg I think there is something mentally wrong with you. I think
you ought to see someone. How can you take so little interest in your
family, your own sister." Sarah responded coldly.
"I think it's funny, I can't help it." said Reg.
"You're exactly the same at home," Sarah continued. "The children
run wild. You've done nothing for them. If I didn't get them food,
they'd starve. If I didn't buy them clothes, they'd be naked."
"Sarah please, would you kindly stop talking," Reg said a bit sternly.
"No, I will not stop talking," Sarah shot back.
"You've been talking at me all day, ever since we've been here. For the love
of God, shut up!" Reg yelled.
"I will not be spoken to like that," Sarah said a bit shocked.
"I think like you, I'm talking to a brick wall, I'm going for a walk," Reg
said loudly and turned to leave.
"All right, go," said Sarah, who then grabbed the tin of biscuits and hurled
them at her husband's head. The tin struck the wall and crashed to the
ground in a spray of biscuits.
