STEP 1
- Contact the Administration office to:
- Notify the Administration of your intended research
- Receive a CRC Protocol number
- Schedule an appointment with CRC Administration
- Navigate to the MIT Appointment and Credentialing links
- All Investigators and their staff must complete the MIT appointment process.
- Additionally, all new research scientists, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses must be credentialed by the MIT Medical Department's outside credentialing service, Med Advantage.
STEP 2
- Navigate to Protocol Submission Checklist link
- Here you will find a helpful list of all paperwork needed to complete and submit as part of your Protocol submission Package
- Navigate to the Forms link
- Here you will find documents and templates needed to submit a protocol as required in the Protocol Submission Checklist
- Begin necessary paperwork
- The administrative office will gladly answer any questions (see contact us link)
STEP 3 (optional)
- Investigators are advised to consider optional step 3 to assist in their protocol submission
- Navigate to the Departments link
- From here Investigators can verify the resources that are available for clinical investigation and find contact information if they have specific questions pertaining to their protocol.
- Navigate to the Bio statistics link
- All investigators are encouraged to discuss design and statistical issues with the statistician prior to submitting a protocol
STEP 4
- Begin the approval process.
- The CRC Calendar includes important dates
- Consider listing your protocol on our Volunteer Opportunities link
- Schedule your protocol with the appropriate department(s)
- This can only be done upon approval by CRC Staff, COUHES (Committee On the Use of Humans as Experimental Subjects) and SAC (Scientific Advisory Committee) - and once MIT appointments and credentialing has been completed
