Mission
The mission of the MIT Clinical Research Center is to provide facilities and resources (nursing, nutritional, laboratory, and statistical) for patient-oriented investigators to carry out high-quality clinical research. The CRC also has an important educational mission that is applicable to investigators at every stage of their career. Funded by the National Institutes of Health, the MIT CRC provides an environment for controlled, safe, and ethical human investigation. The CRC especially promotes translational research between leading scientists and physicians from MIT and other institutions, and advances patient care by fostering innovative, high-impact ideas or technologies into biomedical treatments.
