Alumni

"Our graduates build the future." The motto of the MIT Center for Real Estate expresses our essential belief in — and commitment to — the men and women who leave the Center to improve the built environment. Our mission of enhancing the world through better real estate can only be fulfilled through our graduates, whose excellence in innovation can make positive, lasting changes. To strengthen the ties between our graduates and the Center's growing real estate community, we offer a variety of resources and links.

Alumni Resources & Links

MIT Real Estate Exchange (MITREX)

An online tool available exclusively to MIT/CRE's industry partners, graduates, students, faculty and staff, MITREX offers two powerful features important to the real estate professional:

Alumni Association of the Center for Real Estate (AACRE)

Much of the work in the real estate profession is done through networking, and your graduating class is one of the best networks around. Keep your class connections active with the Alumni Association of the Center for Real Estate (AACRE).

MIT Alumni Association (MITAA)

As a member of the MIT Alumni Association, you can search the MIT Alumni Directory, use MIT's "Infinite Connection," sign up for "e-mail forwarding for life," gain access to dozens of alumni and career services, and keep abreast of developments at MIT as the Institute grows.

Alumni News & Events

Noting class reunions, trips, forums and symposia, as well as appearances of MIT/CRE graduates in the media, the Alumni News & Events webpage keeps you up-to-date with fellow alumni/ae. Let us know when you appear in the news or you have a newsworthy item to share — we want to post those articles!

MIT's OpenCourseWare

OpenCourseWare (OCW) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is a free and open educational resource for faculty, students, and self-learners worldwide. Supporting MIT's mission to advance knowledge and education internationally, OCW embodies the Institute's values of excellence, innovation, and leadership by making new knowledge available rapidly and globally.

The Spaulding Award

The Spaulding Award is presented to an MIT/CRE graduate whose work in the real estate industry has enriched the profession, and/or whose community involvement has been marked by distinguished service or leadership. Established in 1991, the Award honors the leadership, energy, and vision of Center founder Hank Spaulding. Read about past recipients and learn how to nominate candidates for future awards.

Featured Graduate

To celebrate the work of our graduates, the Center's homepage includes a special Featured Graduate section. It regularly showcases a graduate whose efforts — both well-publicized and behind the scenes — are positively changing the face of contemporary real estate.
