As real estate becomes an increasingly demanding and complex field, practitioners must keep abreast of trends in policy, technology, and professional practice. The MIT Center for Real Estate offers a suite of short summer courses to help meet this need, providing timely and practical knowledge designed for active professionals.
Reflecting MIT's cross-disciplinary culture, these courses explore the art and science of the real estate profession, using expertise drawn from CRE's affiliations with the MIT School of Architecture, School of Economics, and Sloan School of Management.
Generally two days long, and offered in June or July, these courses give professionals and executives a convenient means to update their skills and to expand their knowledge of design, development, construction, economics, financing, and entrepreneurship.
All courses are taught by MIT/CRE faculty or industry experts, and typically consist of formal presentations, case studies, and guest speakers. Small class sizes promote close interaction between faculty and attendees, encouraging lively exchanges on current topics.
Unless an alternative location is indicated, all courses are taught on the MIT campus.
