Real Deals

The Real Deals series was established at the MIT Center for Real Estate in the mid-1980s (originally called the Lunch Box Seminars) to give students, researchers, and industry professionals a forum for talking about actual real estate transactions. The series invites established industry professionals to MIT/CRE to share informally the details of a specific transaction, along with an insider's look at the dynamics behind it.

Upcoming Real Deals. To see those currently scheduled, visit our Upcoming Events page.
Examples of past Real Deals. See table below.

Since its inception, the series has hosted well over 100 developers, architects, contractors, brokers, lenders, and investors who have offered unique glimpses into memorable real estate deals. Students gain an effective introduction to the day-to-day workings of real estate acquisition, development, construction, and finance. Professionals have a valuable opportunity to network, to meet the next generation of professionals, and to stay current on developments in the field.

If you want to present a Real Deal, please contact Marion Cunningham at marionoc@mit.edu.
