The Concrete Sustainability Center's organization is around three research areas: concrete materials science, building technology and the econometrics of sustainable development. In concrete materials sciences we are focused on the scientific break- through towards reducing the CO2 footprint of cement and concrete. The building technology area focuses on the CO2 mileage of concrete structures, ie, material flow and the life cycle analysis of pavement and buildings. In the econometrics of sustainable development we are focused on the impact on the economy, job creation, i.e., system dynamics, and the input-output effect of policy.
