CSTR Image Delivery

A CD containing a historical "Rosetta Stone" was made on 24 November 1999.
Project Description The MIT Laboratory for Computer Science and MIT Libraries jointly participated in a research initiative to scan, archive, process, and deliver Computer Science Technical reports to the desktop. This research was a collaboration with several schools, and done as part of the LCS Library 2000 project. 

The current effort will deliver screen-viewable and printable page images as a production-quality service with explicit levels of support. 

The service is currently up and running at the location http://ncstrl.mit.edu/

Detailed Status The goal of taking the old CSTR collection and putting it in production with some defined service level has been met. 

A rigorous definition of service level has been drafted.

The new collection has merged appropriately with the old collection and went into production on 24 September 1999

A CD containing a historical "Rosetta Stone" was made on 24 November 1999.

The feeds of new AI and LCS memos are not yet in place.
