Globe Santa Annual Donation: Since 1993 the Copy Technology Centers has been donating to the Globe Santa Fund. Our first contribution of $225.00 was made on December 24, 1993. Every year since then we have been able to make such donations through the generosity of our customers. Donations either come in small monetary amounts added to the Globe Santa jar or through purchasing our empty paper boxes for $.50 each.  This year our donation was that of $450.00. We are proud to report that as of this year our collective donation from the “Friends of the MIT Copy Technology Centers” has reached the overall amount of $12,000. Thanks to all for your kindness and support!

American Red Cross Holiday Card Program: We Learned through an MIT student who has a husband in Iraq that there are many MIT colleagues fighting in the war in Iraq. We called upon the MIT community during the week of December 17, 2007 to come to our building 11 CopyTech Center and sign a holiday card for a soldier who would be spending their holiday recovering from their wounds in a military hospital. We are happy to report that over 225 cards were gathered within a week time and sent to the American Red Cross for proper distribution. Our cards were sent to 38 Wounded Warrior Transition Unit Military hospitals in the U.S., Europe, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. The Red Cross wrote back to the MIT community through the CopyTech Centers with the following words:

“At each location we have Red Cross volunteers dedicated to providing care, comfort and support to our service members. Those devoted Red Crossers lovingly delivered the cards to the service men and women under their care. You should know that your cards were sincerely appreciated. We are so grateful to you for taking the time to support the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces and for your thoughtful wishes of support to our men and women in uniform.”
