Chunli Lee, a professor at Japan's Aichi University, has been appointed as a visiting scholar at the Fairbank Center for East Asian Research at Harvard University from April 2004 through March 2005. Lee, who studies the Chinese auto industry, has also been promoted to full professor at Aichi University effective April 1.

Lee, a longtime IMVP researcher, is co-author with Tokyo University Professor Takahiro Fujimoto, of two 2001 books: The Chinese Automobile Industry in Transformation and The Chinese Automobile Industry and Technology Transfer.
