WCS: Secure File Transfer

Before You Start ... a Note about Your Athena Password

WS_FTP, CuteFTP and unkerberized Fetch (versions 3.03 and below) do not encrypt your password when sending it across the network. MIT Information Systems considers this an unacceptable security risk. This series of pages describes how to securely move files between your local computer [Mac and PC] and Athena. They are focused on moving HTML documents, but can be used for any type of file.
