MIT SUMMER DAY CAMP POLICIES Early Arrival Early Arrival is available for parents wishing to drop off their campers before 9 o'clock (as early as 8 o'clock). Parents should check their campers in with the Day Camp staff in Johnson Athletic Center. Organized activities will be provided and supervised by one of the Camp Staff. Late Stay In an attempt to ensure the safety of all campers, we must require identification from the individual picking-up your child from Late Stay. We currently require identification and a note giving permission for any individual other than the child's parent to pick-up a child from camp and Late Stay. This policy works well when your child's counselor has become familiar with the parent dropping off the child, but is not sufficient for Late Stay. Because different counselors care for your child during Late Stay, they may not know each child's parents. For this reason, we will request identification from mothers and fathers as well. We hope that you will respond positively to the improved procedure. Although it will take a little extra time and might be a bit inconvenient, we feel it is necessary in order to provide the safest and most enjoyable camp experience possible. Regular Drop-Off (9am) and Pick-Up (3:45pm) This season, campers may be dropped off at Johnson Athletic Center, which is accessed from the Kresge Parking Lot by taking Amherst Street from Massachusetts Avenue (see map). After campers are dropped off, vehicles may access Memorial Drive. Campers will organize by groups with their counselors in or near Johnson. Campers will be dismissed from the morning drop-off location. Campers not picked up by 4:00 pm will become part of "Late Stay" located in the air-conditioned Johnson Athletic Center, at the daily enrollment rate of $20.00. Refund Policy The Camp Application clearly states that the application fee of $100 is not refundable after March 20, 2008. In addition, the balance must be paid by May 15, 2008. and this tuition is not refundable if the camper chooses not to or is not able to attend a session. Health Policy
