Typically released the first Monday of February, the President's Budget Request (PBR) is the baseline set of spending recommendations for the Congressional budget and appropriations process.

The FY09 Budget was released on February 4, 2008. The Congress is currently working through its appropriations process, which is not expected to be completed until late in the year.
