suppose a form ...

suppose a form
has natural inclinations
is imbued with certain tendencies
contains the possibilities of variations

suppose the creator of said form
breathed desire into its nature
a circle then becomes a halo,
becomes concentric rings in a pond
becomes the swirl of the milky way

suppose this form expands into three dimensions
expressing the lightness of a bubble
the playfulness of a pumpkin
the enormity of the planet Jupiter

suppose an artist claims that form
drawing delicate geometries
painting bowls of oranges
sculpting balls of clay, spheres of bronze

ever beginning never ending.
