Milan Slade: Variations on Life & Times

February 8 , 1996 - March 12, 1996

Curated by Michelle Fiorenza

I spent the first half of my life working in graphic design, journals, film, and television. During this time I registered thoughts, took some notes, sketched my impressions, collected memories of my life and then began to record these events on canvas. I have found through these experiences that life presents us with the best training for any form of human expression. This exhibit is a retrospect of these experiences.

I try to make my art simple and clear without any hidden philosophy or secret messages. My paintings are about human activities and modern ethics. It is self explanatory--what you see is exactly what it is.
