The $HO$ Show

Christalyn E. Wright

The $HO$ Show is an ode to the sex worker, lap dancer, and strip tease artist at the close of a Gulliani error New York City. In her last efforts to pursue a new  career as the millennium approaches, the Ho discovers the acceptable freedom and popularity of sex as it is represented in popular culture in cheerleading, commercials and music videos. But what does the new millennium bring for a woman who has only her body to sell? This performance integrates "authentic" strip tease movement with original prose by award-winning writers Tish Benson and Carl Hancock Rux, as well as an original musical composition by Brooklyn DJ Mistaish and video design by Constant Bernard.
