In the rechargeable battery field, the quest for higher energy density at lower cost will require radical innovation if we are to get beyond today's state of the art, namely, lithium-ion technology. This project seeks to build a proof-of-concept system for a novel battery utilizing supervalent technology and dramatically increasing the battery energy density.
