. Executive Team .

Monica, Executive Director Monica Lewis is a senior in the aeronautical engineering department, with a particular interest in renewable energy projects.  This past summer, she interned at Practical Action, working on small scale wind energy projects, funded through MIT's Program on Human Rights and Justice. The previous summer, supported by MIT's Public Service Center, she worked in rural India implementing projects and working with university students to establish a local organization to tackle design challenges. Outside of international development work, Monica enjoys art, reading, and ice hockey.

Megan, Director of Events and Program Planning Megan Roberts is a junior in mechanical engineering who worked on a solar fruit dryer in Samoa with the MIT D-Lab class in January 2005.  She also worked with her team to research water purification, agriculture, and waste management in the country.  In addition to being the DfC Director of Events and Program Planning, Megan is the treasurer of Student Ambassadors.  In her spare time she enjoys playing sports, music and traveling.

Sunita, Director of Internships Sunita Darbe is a freshman interested in a major in Materials Science. She has presented at the National Youth Leadership Council's National Service-Learning Conference. She is new to work in international development. Outside of DfC, Sunita is a violist in the MIT Chamber Orchestra.

Kranthi, Director of Student Projects Kranthi Kiran Vistakula is currently pursuing masters in Engineering Systems Division of MIT. He obtained a BME MS degree at MIT and LouisianaTech University (LTU). He has three reports of invention and several publications. He has significant engineering design experience and won awards for engineering design. He is currently working on developing a water purification system for developing countries.

Nimi, Director of Public Relations Ojonimi Ocholi is currently graduate student in Electrical Engineering and Computer science. He is currently doing research in medical visualization at the Electrophysiology Department of the local hospital, MGH. He plans to pursue an Engineering career in Healthcare. His involvement with Design for Change stems from a desire to promote awareness in the ability of every engineering student to enact positive change on a global level. He enjoys jazz and watching English football.

Tim, Director of Resource Development Timothy Heidel is currently completing a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering where his research is focused on organic semiconductor photovoltaics. Tim was the founding member and expedition leader for the 2004 ENGhana expedition. (www.enghana.org) During summer 2005, Tim spent seven weeks in Zambia designing an electronic medical records system for HIV home-based care programs. Tim has been involved with Design for Change since 2004
