Images from Curacao

Pictures taken by Dimitri and Joanna Bertsekas during a January 2002 trip to Curacao, the biggest island in the Dutch Antilles, a few miles north of Venezuela. Curacao is characterized by its Dutch Caribbean architecture, full of gabled roofs, red tiles, and colorful building facades. One of the highlights is the Museum Kura Hulanda, which impressively exhibits the trans-Atlantic slave trade, and a great collection of artifacts from continental Africa.
