 Business Meetings: Audiovisual Capabilities

The MIT Faculty Club can provide all types of audiovisual equipment for your next conference or business meeting. Each private dining room is equipped with a phone line & ethernet drop. We can also offer on-site professional technicians to work with you during your event.

A/V set-ups during business hours (9-5 PM) incur a $41.00 labor/delivery fee in addition to the cost of the equipment.

A/V set-ups before or after business hours during the business week incur a $54.00 labor/delivery fee.

A/V set-ups for weekend events incur a $220.00 labor/delivery fee.

Business Event Booking Guidelines

The Faculty Club at MIT agrees to provide adequate meeting space and reserves the right to reassign the event to other rooms on the premises which will reasonably accommodate the event.  No exclusive use of facilities is granted or implied.

If the minimum food and beverage revenue requirement is not achieved, a room rental / set-up fee will be assessed in order to meet the requirement.  Additional room fees may be assessed in order to accommodate extraordinary set-ups.  Weekend events require a fifty guest minimum and incur a $500 room rental / set-up fee. 

Cancellation Procedures

The Faculty Club at MIT provides space and guest services for your event.  As it is difficult and costly to resell the space that you have reserved, the Club will assess a fee in the case of any change or cancellation to any part of your reservation, as follows: 

When written notice is received from you:

This % of the room revenue requirement (see above chart) is assessed as a cancellation fee

60 days or more from scheduled date

No penalty

21 – 59 days from scheduled date

25% of the room requirement

6 – 21 days from scheduled date

50% of the room requirement

Within 5 business days of the scheduled date

The estimated total of your event or 100% of the room requirement, whichever is higher
