Information Systems Dinner at the Faculty Club
July 10,
2003
Hi Ivy....we just had debriefed today. I am so glad we chose
the Faculty Club for this important dinner and I was able to
work with you to plan it!
Ed Walker, one of the hosts expressed his
pleasure and his approval! I want you to
know it was a direct reflection of
your proposal choices, the exceptional wait staff, hostess,
and the chef!
The menu and overall attention to detail was truly a fine
example of the Faculty Club’s professionalism in all
aspects. The grand oval table, fine damask linens, place
settings, and
room layout were perfect for the reception and dinner. It
was a beautiful evening and the East Room (my favorite) provided
a wonderful atmosphere for the roving conversations they
had
hoped for, and enjoying the still sunny views of the river.
The staff ( 2 Maria's, 2 Heather's, Susan the bartender and
Lena our hostess, and of course the chef were terrific and
took excellent care of everyone... and me! I don't know if
Lena told you, but it was difficult to get everyone to sit
down. I don't think they were seated until 7:35 pm - but
the staff kept every thing warm and ready! Susan did a great
job
at the bar, too!
Thanks Ivy, you all made me look good! Please use me as a
reference. Judy :)

May 29 & June 9, 2003
Dear Chef Peter! Once again, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of
the staff for making my last two functions such a huge success.
The one at the Faculty Club on May 29th was beautifully done.
The way the room was decorated was perfect and it made the
guests flow with it. Of course, the food was superb and my
guests were talking about it for weeks after. The Baby Lamb
Chops and the Black and White Sesame Shrimp my guests couldn't
get enough of. They even remarked on the color coordination
of the chafing dishes and they liked the stone to keep the
Pizetta's warm. The attendant's were excellent in attending
to our needs.
Then, on June 9th my next event was at the Hart Nautical Museum.
Well, the artistic flair of those decorations was absolutely
fantastic. This group of guests, made up of graduated students
and their parents couldn't get over it. They were very impressed
with not only the way it was decorated with such a beautiful
nautical theme but the food was absolutely delicious (especially
those Black & White Sesame Shrimp). It really made a big
impression on everyone attending. It is such a joy to work
with the catering staff. The guests were very impressed to
see you Chef Peter! One lady couldn't get over talking about
that. It really made a lasting impression on our guests.
Thank you all for your efforts in making these two affairs
so special for all of our guests. YOU ARE ALL THE GREATEST
and a great big THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to each
and every one of you (especially Heather, Ivy and Liz) who
made these two events so special for us. Peter, you’re
the best!

We should have gotten to you to tell you how absolutely wonderful
the dinner was. From start to finish it was perfect! It was
informal, comfortable, yummy and positively delightful! Everything
was just what we wanted and everyone was so pleasant and
easy to talk to. Our friends loved it and it just so happened
it was a perfect night and we watched the sailboats on the
Charles and then the lights of Boston's night come alive!!
All in all it was the perfect start to a magnificent wedding
weekend!!
