MIT Campus Dining, as one of these support elements, is dedicated to enhancing student
life. We place particular emphasis on creating a dining experience that
encourages camaraderie and the development of friendships over meals.
There are dining locations nearby
no matter where studies or activities take your son or daughter. MIT dining venues are varied and conveniently
located to fit the complex schedules and the demands of your MIT student. MIT
is a leader in providing innovative services working with multiple companies
all competing for business. This unique model ensures
you - and your student - quality and value for your food dollar.
Some quick facts:
- MIT students are welcome at all residential dining facilities no matter where
they live.
- Most MIT students purchase meals using a Dining Dollars or TechCASH debit account.
- Cash is accepted at all Campus Dining locations
- There is NO separate Campus Dining Card. Dining Dollars and TechCASH
accounts use the magnetic stripe on the MIT student ID card.
- Campus Dining has operations open 7 days a week.
- Campus Dining has operations open from 7:00 in the morning to 11
at night and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Convenience stores are open even later.
- MIT does not offer traditional all-you-care-to-eat service, all
menus are offered on an a la carte basis.
- House Dining locations in McCormick, Simmons and Next house are open Sunday through Thursday. Baker House Dining is open 7 days a week.
- Forbes Family Cafe (Forbes at Night ) in the Stata Center caters to East Campus and Senior House residents Monday - Friday evenings.
- House Dining (Baker House, McCormick Hall, Next House, and Simmons Hall) serve dinner only and are open from 5pm to 8 or 9pm depending
on location.
- Not all operations are open for all meals, but Campus Dining locations across the institute serve
breakfast, lunch and dinner options as well as late night and delivery services.
