Biomaterials are materials used in devices (generally medical devices) that interact with biological organisms. In our group, research in biomaterials is focused on controlling cellular responses to biomaterials by tailoring their surface chemistry and structure, and the creation of new biomaterials for tissue engineering, biofiltration and delivery of therapeutics.
