Outreach

The Ross Group is active in educational outreach on many levels, both nationally and internationally. As part of directly reaching out to students via lectures and demonstrations, Professor Ross visits local highschools, and Dr. Morecroft went as far as Narok, Kenya and taught physics to secondary school students. Exchange students from different universities, as well as teachers as part of the REU and RET programs of CMSE have done work with the group.

Also, if you would like to understand what self-assembly and nanofabrication is, Marianna Shnayderman prepared a series of presentation movies that are under the 'nano movies section'.

Hitachi has prepared a wonderful animation explaining the limits to current hard drive technology. It is quite entertaining, and has a soundtrack to it, so turn up your speakers.
