If you feel the need to lead, here's your chance. Join SUMS exec and get things done. For those who don't know, SUMS (Society of
Undergraduate Materials Scientists) exec are the people who put on all of the undergraduate socials, help recruit prospective freshman
and form a bridge between undergraduates and Course 3 administration. Open positions will be President, Secretary, Publicity Chair,
Career Development Chair, Social Chair, and webmaster. Come ready to explain why you want to be and should be part of SUMS exec and
get elected. Come by seven to vote.

What better way to start off the semester than with food, friendship and fun? Come to the SUMS welcome back social, featuring
fine peruvian cuisine, salsa music, and good company. Open to all current materials science undergrads and any freshman or sophomore
considering a major in course 3. Also, information about how to become part of sums exec will be provided at this social, so come, have fun
and think about running for sums exec.

169th Annual Course 3 Halloween Party, 5 to 7 PM, Chipman(6-104)-Thursday, October 30
Come enjoy free food and pumpkin carving while watching "Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin Patch".
Door prizes will be raffled off and prizes will be given for the best pumpkins. Pumpkins and some carving tools will
be provided, all you have to do is bring your mad pumpkin carving skills and frightening . . . er charming personalities.
