rex calendar: friday 8/22

Residence Exploration (REX) aka Dorm Rush is an exciting and fun time devoted to helping you find the best place for you to live while at MIT. Take a look at this schedule of REX events and activities. You should look at as many dorms are possible, even if you already think you’re where you want to be -- you’ll at least meet some great people and maybe even discover someplace better!

MacGregor House: Dorm Tours and Smoothies

10am-4pm

What does Boston look like from our 16-story high rise? And what makes living in the low-rise unique? Stop by MacGregor for a tour of our dorm; see our well-equipped weight room, music room, brand new study spaces, and recreational areas. We’ve got smoothies…

East Campus: Get Hot while Handling our Wood

12pm-12am

Ever wonder what happens when frustrated MIT students get distracted from their problem sets? Come by the courtyard and help us make hot construction love. And by that we mean build awesome and entirely safe thrill rides.

East Campus: The Red Jacket Tour

Though we won’t be making any hovercrafts (trust us, Instructables would tell you how because we’ve done it), you will have the chance to make your own packing tape decals, bleach-dyed T-shirts and duct-tape origami.

Sleep is an addiction. The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem. Sleepers Anonymous is a support group formed to help people like you overcome this addiction. Come, and we will fight this affliction together.
