Before ditching your parents tonight, stop by your assigned dorm at 5pm for Dinners @ Dorms, the place to get your questions answered and keep your parents from worrying about MIT's crazy dorm process. Then, make sure to stop by both parties tonight, one on the west and one on the east. They're both guaranteed to be spectacular.

We're not really just haphazardly throwing pieces of wood together... we just haven't slept in a long time. Come keep us from drilling into each others skulls, and learn to handle power tools yourself!

Every hour, on the hour, a tour guide will be waiting for you at the student center (with a big sign that says NW35) to take you to NW35, the new dorm.

Come pick a tour guide from our holding pen. Don't worry, they won't bite (until November), and have had all the necessary shots for attendance at MIT. Learn about each of EC's unique halls, then try to guess where your guide normally dwells-- when not locked in a cage in the courtyard.

MacGregor House: Charles River Kayaking Sign-up and Dorm Tours

Already busier than you expected? Make sure you visit MacGregor to learn about and sign up for our first ever REX Charles River Kayaking Trip (trip to take place on Monday, 25 August)! While you’re here, learn more about MacGregor by going on a tour.

It’s pretty self-explanatory, but we cannot stress the magnitude of deliciousness only found in Simmons’ smoothies – a special recipe by our housemaster themselves, the Essigmans. Plus, what better way to see the concrete sponge than with a real Simmons resident as your tour guide and the quasi-guarantee you won’t get lost.

East Campus: Pink is the new Blonde

Natural is totally out. Dayglo is back! Electrify your tresses (but don't actually electrocute yourself, EC will get in a lot of trouble).

Senior House: Haus Tours

all day, but especially now! learn about Haus history, see murals, pet our cats, meet our quirky residents. tours led by upperclassman leave every five minutes from the lobby.

REX: East Vs. West Water War

Come see the mighty siege machines as we soak ourselves silly. Be prepared to get wet, or stand back! Are you on the winning side? There’s only one way to find out. Report to your commanding officer by heading to your temp dorm (or the dorm you want to side with) a bit before 2pm.

 

Baker House: Dorm Tours and Smoothies

2pm-5pm - Lobby

We will have professionally trained guides leading groups on a tour of an architectural masterpiece known as Baker House! Groups leave every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. After the tour come grab a smoothie and chat with some upperclassmen about life at MIT!

East Campus: Course 6 Indoctrination

2pm-4pm

Not everyone in EC is course 6; most of us do this for fun. Come see the allure of the field of electrical engineering as you construct your very own death ray.

MacGregor House: Recess!

2pm-4pm

Come relive the best moments of your childhood with four square, water skirmishes (ammo provided), and any other games that we dream up! We’ll even have juice boxes and other snacktime favorites.

McCormick: Dorm Tours

2pm-5pm

We'll show you all the great amenities of our dorm, including the dance studio, living rooms, the gym, penthouses, and more, as well as answer your questions about living in McCormick.

New House 3: "Boston Tour"

New to Boston or just want to learn more about it? Join Spanish House members and its GRT, Francisca, in an insightful tour of Boston and get to know your city from an Urban Studies Graduate Student's perspective. Remember to bring comfortable shoes and we hope to see you in the crowd.
