In the screen below a second-order mechanical system is specified
through its transfer function. Maple SYREP forms a system "object" in
phase-variable form, directly from the coefficients in the transfer function.
The resulting state and output equations are displayed.
The Root_locus() SYREP procedure is a generalized root locus that plots
the loci of system poles for the variation of any single parameter in the
system. In the example the paths of the system poles as the viscous damping
coefficient B is varied from 0 to 1000 N-s/m is plotted.
