Bro. Gary:

I had e-mailed you back in the Summer that I agreed with you that the One Day Classes are not a good idea. I had been an EA back then and you asked that I let you know when I was raised.

I went to the East several weeks ago during the Past Masters's night (10/19/07). Several of the Past Masters had asked for permission to raise me when the WM was arranging for several of the PM's to sit the chairs while the regular officers were at Grand Lodge.

The brothers going through the One Day Classes are truly being swindled by the Grand Lodges. My raising was a special time that I will remember for the rest of my life. It was made even more so because the Past Masters wanted to perform the ritual just for me. That is an experience that a One Day brother will never get to have.

Perhaps one day we will get to meet in person.

Like you, my displeasure is not directed towards the One Day Brother. It would be unmasonic to think less of a brother that took his degrees in one day. He does not know that he is being cheated out of a special experience.

My displeasure is directed towards the Grand Lodges misleading new brothers.
